Don't Throw That Old Computer Away!
Put your old computer to work right away and don't let it sit there gathering dust. Here's what to do today.
College Student Give your old computer to a college student that usually has basic needs such as word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Grandparent Don't be surprised when a Grandparent that said they would never use a computer, discovers email and how they can easily stay in touch with the family, starts emailing everyone all the time. It's a good thing.
Daycare / Preschool Children delight in playing games. They don't mind whether they are DOS games or Windows games, as long as they get some computer time!
Church Many churches can offer computer time for those in their congregation that may not have an opportunity to use a computer elsewhere. Churches also know families that need a computer for school needs, but the family can't afford a computer. Churches also have Youth Groups that can utilize computers for various positive needs they may have.
Library Libraries can provide public access to a computer for basic word processing, and possibly Internet needs.
Non-Profit Organizations Many non-profit organizations know families, children, and businesses that are struggling and could use a computer. Don't forget about Spouse Abuse Centers, Girls / Boys Centers, Disabled Services (Vets, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, Muscular Dystrophy, etc.).
There are many opportunities to help others, and we would certainly welcome any older computer of which we could donate on your behalf to such organizations.
